God's Will-Part 1
Here are my notes on the God's will study, Part 1. Enjoy!
God's Will
Part I - The Spiritual Checklist
Psalm 139:23-24: "Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there be any hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way" (NASB)
1) Saved - 1 Tim 2:3-4
2) Spirit Filled - Eph 5:17
a. controlled by the Holy Spirit
b. yielded to the Holy Spirit
c. letting the word of Christ richly indwell you (Colossians 3:16)
3) Sanctification - 1 Thess 4:3
a. Sexual immorality
4) Submissive - 1 Peter 2:13
a. "bring something under the firm control of someone" (Louw and Nida)
b. "put in subjection, subject, subordinate; passive-be subject, submit to, obey, be under the authority of; take a subordinate place" (UBS Lexicon)
5) Suffering - 1 Pet 3:17
a. You need to be willing to suffer for righteousness sake ... for what is right
b. If you are not suffering, ask why.
6) Secure - John 6:39
a. Recognize your security in Christ (cf. 1 John 5:13)
7) Saying Thanks - 1 Thess 5:18; Eph 5:20
Conclusion: If you are doing these things, you are delighting yourself in the Lord.

Deuteronomy 10:12: "Now Israel, what does the Lord your God require from you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul,
